The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has issued a clarification for candidates appearing for NEET-PG 2026 after some applicants received incorrect test city information via SMS due to a technical issue. The board said the test city allocation has been communicated to candidates as per the scheduled timeline.
The clarification was issued by the Board on its X handle. The tweet reads, “The test city allocation for NEET-PG 2026 applicants has been informed as per schedule. Due to technical issues, incorrect test-city information was sent to some candidates through SMS. Correct details have since been communicated through SMS/email and are available on the applicant portal. Candidates are advised to rely only on the official NBEMS website for accurate information and beware of fake websites and misinformation.”

NEET PG Exam City Slip 2026: How to download
All candidates who will appear for the NEET PG examination can download their exam city slip by following the steps below.
1. Visit the official website of NBEMS at natboard.edu.in.
2. Click on the NEET PG City Slip 2026 link available on the home page.
3. A new page will open where candidates will have to enter the login details.
4. Click on submit, and your exam city slip will be displayed.
5. Check the exam city slip and download the page.
6. Keep a hard copy of the same for further need.
The NEET PG examination will be held on August 30, 2026. The exam will be held through a computer-based examination in a single day.

The examination shall comprise 180 Multiple Choice Questions, with each question having 4 response options/distractors in English only. Candidates are required to select the correct / best / most appropriate response / answer out of the 4 response options provided in each question. Time allotted for the examination is 03 hours and 30 minutes.
The question paper for NEET-PG 2026 will be divided into five time-bound sections, namely Group A, B, C, D & E. The questions from the MBBS curriculum shall be distributed across these five sections, with 36 questions each. Each section will be allotted 42 minutes.

Meanwhile, the Board has also opened the edit window for candidates to make corrections in photographs, signatures and/or thumb impressions as per the prescribed Image Upload Instructions. The window to edit the details will be available till August 15, 2026.
