Chandigarh: Chief minister Nayab Singh Saini has handed over the keys to 2,709 new homes in Haryana, framing the mass allotment as a pivotal step in Prime Minister Narendra Modi‘s mission to transform India into a developed nation by 2047.Addressing the “Viksit Badshahpur Maharally” on Sunday, Saini said the state is aggressively converting the “Viksit Bharat” vision into ground-level results. The ceremony, held during the auspicious festival of Navratras, saw thousands of beneficiaries move into permanent housing under the state’s “Housing for All” initiative.A shift from ‘announcements to outcomes’Saini emphasised a departure from previous administrative styles, claiming his govt had prioritised the effective implementation of projects over mere political rhetoric. “The govt has not limited itself to announcements, but has ensured their effective implementation on the ground,” Saini said. The state data suggests that the Badshahpur constituency has seen a massive influx of capital. The govt has invested ₹15,166 crore in regional development over the past 11 years. Saini contrasted this with the ₹967 crore spent during the previous govt’s tenure. Of 81 “CM announcements” made for the area, 60 have been completed and eight remain in progress. The rally also highlighted Haryana’s transition from a traditional agrarian heartland to an industrial powerhouse. Industries and commerce minister Rao Narbir Singh noted that the National Capital Region (NCR), specifically the Gurugram and Manesar belts, would be the engine room for growth through 2047. The minister announced that reforms in industrial policy, including the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital technologies, are being implemented to slash procedural delays for entrepreneurs and traders. The event, organised in coordination with the housing for all department, signals the govt’s intent to consolidate its third-term legacy through large-scale infrastructure and social welfare delivery. The CM also announced a 100% increase in ex gratia payments for fallen personnel from the armed forces and Central Armed Police Forces, raising the compensation from ₹50 lakh to ₹1 crore. The announcement was made during a Shaheedi Diwas programme in Gurugram, where the CM presented a cheque for ₹38.25 lakh to CRPF deputy inspector general (DIG) Param Shivam. The money, raised by the Gurugram Home Developers Association, is earmarked for the families of CRPF personnel who died in the line of duty in Dantewada, Chhattisgarh. The event was attended by minister for Sainik and Ardh Sainik Welfare Rao Narbir Singh, MLA Mukesh Sharma, and representatives from the Home Developers Association.
