Mysuru: As part of the Mysuru Dasara festival, Rangayana will organise the Navaratri Rangotsava from Oct 11 to 19. The nine-day festival will feature plays and various folk art forms. The inaugural ceremony will be held at 5pm on Sunday at Vanaranga stage. Kannada and culture minister Shivaraj S Tangadagi will inaugurate the festival in the presence of Rangayana director Satish Tippatur. On the inaugural day, Samatento Mysuru, a theatre group recognised for its distinguished contribution to theatre, will be honoured with Navaratri Ranga Gourava Award.List of plays: Oct 11: Alibaba Mattu Nalavattu Jana Kallaru; Oct 12: Mookana Makkalu; Oct 13: Malgudi Katha Kavya; Oct 14: Shakespeare Manege Banda; Oct 15: Jathre; Oct 16: Bheemayana; Oct 17: Keechaka Vadhe; Oct 18: Manteswami Katha Prasanga; and Oct 19: Shudra Tapasvi.
