NU has also outlined the form submission timeline

Nagpur: Bringing much-needed clarity, Nagpur University (NU) has finally announced the dates of the much-delayed summer examinations in its revised academic calendar on April 1. The move comes after TOI on March 24 flagged the absence of clear timeline for exam dates.

As per the fresh revised schedule issued on April 1, summer examinations will begin from April 15, with a staggered start for different categories of students. Failure students of odd semesters and those in the annual pattern will have their exams commencing from April 15, while regular and failure students of even semesters will begin from May 2.

NU has also outlined the form submission timeline. The process for submission of summer examination forms began on March 23 for all categories – regular students of even semesters, old ex-students, and those in the annual pattern. The last date for submission is April 4 for old ex-students and annual pattern candidates, and April 10 for regular students of even semesters. For students whose winter 2025 results are still pending, forms can be submitted within seven days of result declaration.

Despite the clarity on exam dates, faculty members from affiliated colleges have flagged a serious concern. They pointed out that while odd semester exams are scheduled from April 15, the university has neither released the detailed timetable nor declared a majority of the winter exam results.

“Unless results are declared, students will not even know which subjects they need to apply for,” said a senior faculty member, highlighting the practical difficulties faced by students.

The revised calendar also confirms that the second term will now end on April 30, followed by summer vacation from May 1 to June 15.
