Nagpur: The city will host the prestigious 69th All India Police Duty Meet 2025-26 from March 29 to April 3. The national-level event, organised jointly by the City police and State Criminal Investigation Department (CID), will see participation of 1,327 police officers and officials, 144 police dogs, and 29 teams from different states, Union Territories, and Central police organisations across the country.The event will be inaugurated on Sunday at 5pm at Shivaji Stadium, Police Headquarters, Nagpur, by Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis. Competitions will be conducted in six specialised subjects comprising computer awareness at Ramdeobaba College of Engineering, Gittikhadan, police dog competition at State Reserve Police Force Group, and police videography, anti-sabotage check, scientific aid to investigation, and police photography at Police Training Centre, Bajaj Nagar. These events include both written and practical components aimed at enhancing professional skills, promoting innovation in policing methods, fostering competitive spirit, and improving coordination among police forces.Comprehensive arrangements are made for the smooth conduct of the meet. Accommodation and food facilities for all participants have been arranged at various premium locations in Nagpur. Round-the-clock medical facilities will be available at the venues. For seamless movement and security, 330 police vehicles and a large contingent of police personnel from different districts of Maharashtra have been deployed.The organising committee is chaired by Maharashtra DGP Sadanand Date, with addl DGP Sunil Ramanand is the organising secretary.The other prominent members include addl DGP Madhukar Pandey, Nagpur CP Ravinder Kumar Singal, addl DGP Rajkumar Vhatkar, and several other senior officers.The closing ceremony will be held on April 3 in the presence of Union minister of state for home Nityanand Roy.
