Shivamogga: Escalating his attack on Congress-led state govt, BJP state president BY Vijayendra Friday declared that former minister B Nagendra is merely a “small fish” in the multi-crore Karnataka Maharshi Valmiki Scheduled Tribes Development Corporation scam.Influential “big whales” are behind the operation and remain to be exposed, he told reporters.Vijayendra said BJP’s ongoing stir would not end with Nagendra’s resignation and demanded a full-scale probe into allegations that misappropriated funds were routed to the Congress high command.He emphasised that complete justice would be achieved only after the entire Rs 185 crore earmarked for the welfare of marginalised tribal communities is recovered and returned to the corporation’s account.Questioning the state govt’s decision to re-induct Nagendra into the cabinet without a clear clean chit, Vijayendra also condemned the delay in providing compensation and benefits to the family of deceased official Chandrashekhar.He further criticised the administration’s handling of the prevailing drought situation across the state.
