Mysuru: In a surprise action, Mysuru city police on Saturday raided and searched houses of 30 listed rowdies and checked for any unlawful weapons.The operation was supervised by commissioner of police Seema Latkar, aimed at monitoring their activities and seizing tools allegedly used in criminal acts. Police officers conducted coordinated searches across multiple locations, checking for weapons, illegal materials and evidence linked to ongoing investigations.The surprise action was part of a broader effort to curb crime, deter habitual offenders and strengthen law enforcement surveillance over individuals with repeated records of violent or disruptive behaviour. The raid went on for three hours starting from 5 am.In all, 30 rowdy-sheeters’ homes were raided after search warrants were obtained from the court to check their activities.Seema Latkar said the stringent measures against rowdy-sheeters in Mysuru city will continue to ensure that those involved in criminal activities face strict consequences. She said no weapons or tools were found during the raid. These 30 rowdies were active, and hence surprise searches were conducted.
