Hassan: Revenue minister and Hassan district minister Krishna Byre Gowda on Thursday said children who excel in academics are the pride of the family and their success has brought pride to Hassan district. The minister was speaking after inaugurating ‘Hassan Hemme’, a felicitation programme for SSLC and PUC toppers, organised by the district administration, ZP and education dept at Hasanamba Kala Bhavana.The minister thanked them for effort and hard work and said Hassan stood fourth in the state in SSLC results. He added that students’ success brings joy and respect to parents and motivates future batches.“Children are the asset of the society. Hard work is key to realising dreams. You can earn and lose wealth, but education and knowledge stay with you till your last breath. Education gives you the strength to stand on your own feet and face challenges,” he said.According to the minister, hard work is the only formula for success. Those who toil reach the goal. “We are responsible for our wins and losses. With determination, success follows,” he added and urged Morarji Desai residential schools and aided schools to focus more on improving results.MP Shreyas M Patel said, “Only education can help achieve goals. Follow BR Ambedkar, who proved anything is possible through education,” he said.Senior Congress MLA and housing board chairman KM Shivalinge Gowda, said encouraging toppers is important to inspire others. “Education is crucial to work globally. Govt schools need support. Providing infrastructure to economically backward students is our duty.
