Mysore Warriors on Monday unveiled their 18-member women’s squad

Mysuru: Mysore Warriors on Monday unveiled their 18-member women’s squad and announced Subha Satheesh as captain for the second season of the Maharani Trophy KSCA T20 2026.The franchise introduced the team in the presence of players, officials, partners and supporters ahead of the tournament beginning July 22. Head coach Karuna Jain will guide the side, which blends experienced campaigners with promising young cricketers.The team is owned by NR Group.Adding inspiration to the launch was Deepika T C, captain of India’s World Cup-winning Women’s Blind Cricket Team and an alumna of Ranga Rao Memorial School for Differently Abled. Extending her wishes to the squad, she credited the school for providing her with the opportunity, encouragement and training that helped shape her cricketing career.Deepika said continued support from franchises such as Mysore Warriors would encourage more young girls to pursue the sport. On the occasion, Deepika was honoured with a cash award of Rs 1 lakh by NR Group, led by Arjun Ranga, who handed over the cheque to Deepika.Mysore Warriors owner Arjun Ranga said the inaugural Maharani Trophy marked a significant milestone for women’s cricket in Karnataka and expressed confidence that the second edition would further inspire young girls to take up the game.Captain Subha said the team, having learnt valuable lessons after narrowly missing the title last season, is determined for good show.The Maharani Trophy KSCA T20 2026 will be held from July 22 to Aug 2 at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, featuring four franchises — Bengaluru, Hubballi, Kalaburagi, and Mysuru.
