Hassan: Mutts are rendering significant service in educational and social sectors for the betterment of society, cooperation minister Laxman Savadi said on Tuesday.He was speaking after laying the foundation stone for the new building of Bahubali Nursing and Para-Medical Colleges at Dhavalatheertham in Shravanabelagola.“Even in this age of rapid AI advancement, nursing and para-medical education are in high demand and hold relevance, with immense job opportunities for youth,” he said, adding that the role of nursing in healthcare is pivotal.By starting nursing and para-medical courses, the Shravanabelagola seer has made a significant contribution to society. Such institutions not only provide quality healthcare but also reduce the burden on govt, thereby supporting govt’s service initiatives, he added.Presiding over the function, Shravanabelagola Mutt seer Charukeerthi Bhattaraka Pattacharyavarya Swami said educational institutions should not be mere degree-awarding centres but centres that mould capable individuals to serve the society.“Nurses take care of patients with compassion, affection and warmth. Compassion, motherly nature and service-mindedness are the core of nursing. Nurses are embodiment of compassion,” Charukeerthi swami said.Shravanabelagola MLA CN Balakrishna, former MLC MA Gopalaswamy, Karnataka State Nursing Council registrar Shrikanth Pulare, Examination Board supervisor MS Sharath Babu and DHO Dr BR Yuvaraj were present.
