E.l.f. Beauty Reports 36% Net Sales Growth in Q1 2027
E.l.f. Beauty — the parent company of E.l.f. brands, Rhode, Naturium and Well People — reported its Q1 2027 results on Wednesday, which showed a 36% spike in net sales growth to $479.4 million. This marks the company’s 30th consecutive quarter of sales growth. E.l.f. Beauty raised its fiscal 2027 outlook to 18% to 20% net sales growth, up from 12% to 14%. {E.l.f. Beauty}
Exemplar Luxury Group Hires Women’s Fashion Director
Exemplar Luxury Group (formerly Saks Global) has hired Chloe King as the women’s fashion director for its Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue businesses. King succeeds Roopal Patel, who left the company in January. She previously served as director of fashion and lifestyle for Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue. King will be responsible for identifying and curating the businesses’ fashion point of views. {WWD/paywalled}
Christie’s to Auction Pieces From ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’
From Sept. 1 to Sept. 15, Christie’s global auction house will host an online auction featuring apparel and accessories from “The Devil Wears Prada 2.” Sales will benefit the Committee to Protect Journalists and the Council of Fashion Designers of America. Some auction highlights include the Gabriela Hearst Niki dress that Andy Sachs wears to the Hamptons and accidentally stains (estimate: $3,000 to $4,000) and the Dries Van Noten tassel jacket worn by Miranda Priestly (estimate: $4,000 to $6,000). A free, public exhibition of the items will be held at Christie’s New York at 20 Rockefeller Plaza from Sept. 8 to Sept. 13. {WWD/paywalled}
Daniel Kearns Named Head of Design for Boss by Beckham

Daniel Kearns is the new head of design for Boss by Beckham, Hugo Boss’ collaboration with David Beckham. Kearns will oversee the collection creation, as well as all elements of the design, merchandising and branding. Kearns most recently held the role of chief creative officer at Kent & Curwen and Cerruti 1881. He has also worked in various menswear designer positions at Alexander McQueen, John Galliano, Yves Saint Laurent and Gucci. {Hugo Boss Group}
A Jewish Fashion Editor Addresses John Galliano’s Met Gala Exhibit
Faran Krentcil, a Jewish fashion editor (and the founding editor of Fashionista), penned an op-ed in the New York Post addressing John Galliano’s upcoming Met Gala exhibition. Despite her “personal fury” surrounding the designer’s past anti-Semitic comments, Krentcil writes that the exhibit is a “fine idea” as Galliano appears to have “done real work in the 15 years since his vile explosion.” She adds that Jewish scripture is on his side, as it “calls us to gaze at our former enemy and search for shared humanity.” Read her full essay here. {New York Post}
