Buxar: A music concert will be organised in Dumraon on Saturday to mark the birth anniversary of world-renowned shehnai maestro and Bharat Ratna awardee Ustad Bismillah Khan.The event, Ustad Bismillah Khan Mahotsav, will take place at Raj High School, where noted artists from across the country, along with local performers, will present their programmes. Preparations are in full swing under the supervision of the district administration and information and public relations department.The event will feature star singer Kumar Sanu, renowned Sabri Brothers, and artists from Ustad Bismillah Khan gharana, who will present shehnai performances. Local artists from Dumraon and nearby areas will also showcase their talents.Dumraon SDM Rakesh Kumar said on Friday all efforts are being made to ensure the event’s success. He added that the administration is fully alert regarding security, seating, and logistics. The programme aims to provide a platform for both eminent and local artists while paying tribute to Ustad Bismillah Khan, who was born in Dumraon on March 21, 1916, he added.
