Udaipur: A 70-year-old woman and her 47-year-old daughter were found murdered inside their home in Udaipur district Saturday morning, with cash and jewellery missing, police said.The murders occurred late Friday night in Mundol village in the Vallabhnagar police station area. Neighbours alerted police after the incident came to light in the morning.Vallabhnagar SHO Poonaram Gurjar said Lunga, 70, and her daughter Amribai Gadri, 47, were found lying in a pool of blood inside the house when police arrived. Both had injury marks on their necks, apparently caused by a heavy, sharp weapon.A forensic team and dog squad collected evidence from the scene.Police said the two women lived alone. Relatives told investigators that gold and silver ornaments worn by the victims on their necks and hands were missing, along with cash and other jewellery kept in the house. Police suspect the attackers entered the house to commit robbery.The double murder sparked anger in the village. Relatives and residents gathered outside the mortuary at Vallabhnagar Hospital and refused to accept the bodies, demanding that police first solve the case and arrest all those involved.
