Kolkata: Ahead of Durga Puja, Metro Railway will run extra services on Blue, Green and Yellow Lines for puja shoppers on the next consecutive weekends.On Saturdays – Oct 3 and 10 – Metro Railway will run 272 services, 20 more than the usual Saturday services on the Blue Line (Kavi Subhas-Dakshineswar). The Green Line (Sector V-Howrah Maidan) will operate 236 services, 24 more than the usual number of services; and 120 services, 28 more than the usual, will be run on Yellow Line (Noapara-Airport).There will be no services on Orange Line (Kavi Subhas-Beleghata) and normal Saturday services will be operated on Purple Line (Joka-Majerhat). On Sundays – Oct 4 and Oct 11 – there will be 188 services, 36 more than the usual on Blue Line.Green Line will have 14 additional services. There will be no extra services on the Yellow Line. Instead, two direct trains will be operational between Airport and Dakshineswar, instead of three trains. There will be no services on Orange and Purple Line. There will be no change in the timings of the first and last Metro services on these days.
