Varanasi: Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology (MMMUT), Gorakhpur, has secured the 31st position in the National Green University Ranking (NGUR) 2026 and received a Gold Rating for its performance in sustainability and environmental management, university officials said on Wednesday.The university scored 90.2 out of 100 in the national assessment framework, which evaluates higher education institutions on their commitment to sustainable development, climate action and environmentally responsible campus practices.Vice-chancellor Prof. Anupama Kaushik Sharma described the achievement as a significant milestone for the university.“Securing the 31st position nationally and receiving a Gold Rating reflects the collective commitment of the MMMUT community towards sustainability and responsible institutional governance,” she said.
