Kanpur: An eight-year-old girl who went missing on Monday evening in Kayamganj, Farrukhabad, was found on Tuesday near bushes in the Sadhwala area of the town.Police had searched nearby fields late Monday but could not trace the child.At around 11am on Tuesday, an e-rickshaw driver spotted the girl standing near the bushes, following which the police were alerted.Kotwali police reached the spot and took her to the police station.During questioning, the minor told police that an “uncle” had taken her away.Police also noted that despite heavy rain throughout the night, the girl’s clothes were dry, indicating that she may have been kept in a safe place before being left near the bushes.Later, a man from Gautola village was detained for questioning.Police said the girl’s parents work as labourers in Kanpur.
