Srinagar: Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic road accident in Karnah area of Kupwara district, in which five people lost their lives and several others were injured.
In a post on X, Mirwaiz described the incident as deeply saddening and expressed condolences to the bereaved families.
He also highlighted the growing frequency of road accidents across Jammu and Kashmir, calling for urgent attention to road safety, infrastructure and preventive measures.
“May Almighty Allah grant the departed Jannat-ul-Firdous and give strength to their loved ones,” Mirwaiz said, while praying for the speedy recovery of those injured in the accident.
