New Delhi: Residents of Delhi University’s Miranda House hostel held a protest on Wednesday, alleging insufficient and poor-quality food being served due to the ongoing LPG crisis. Videos circulated on social media showed several students banging plates and raising slogans against the reported food cuts during the protest.Students claimed that while food quality had been an issue earlier, the situation has worsened in recent days, with fewer meals being served and menu items reduced. In some cases, they alleged, basic substitutes such as plain bread were provided.“The food quality was already failing, but since the LPG crisis, it’s become a nightmare. Why are students the ones bearing the brunt of this mismanagement… Nutritious food is a right, not a luxury,” the All India Students’ Association (AISA) said in a statement, demanding a resolution. The college administration denied the allegations, stating that any concerns raised had been addressed and that LPG supply remains unaffected.
