Nagpur: Residents of remote and once Maoist-affected areas of Gadchiroli, including Binagunda, Bhamragarh, Etapalli, Fulnar and Gardewada, will soon get govt services closer to their villages.The Maharashtra govt has approved upgrading the 22 already existing service centres in the district’s interior into Mini Setu Kendras, or Aaple Sarkar Seva Kendras.Once functional, the centres will bring govt, banking and digital services closer to residents of remote villages who currently travel long distances for basic certificates and applications.As per govt notification and official sources, the centres include 13 Dadalora Khidki centres, earlier run with police administration support, and nine Aadi Seva Kendras which are operated by the Integrated Tribal Development Project (ITDP).Gadchiroli collector Avishyanth Panda said, “The centres will provide 21 categories of revenue services, rural development services and Aadhaar-linked facilities. Business correspondents will also offer basic banking and financial services, helping residents avoid long journeys to bank branches and govt offices,” he said.Each centre will have an operator to assist residents with online applications, certificates and govt schemes.The centres will use existing infrastructure. The govt will provide computers, printers, scanners, and other equipment as one-time support.As per the govt notification, the centre operators will receive up to Rs 8,000 a month for one year
