Minister of state (Independent Charge) for Horticulture Dinesh Pratap Singh inspected Phaphamau-based cold storage, took stock of the ongoing relief and rescue operations, and issued necessary directives to all concerned officials on Tuesday. He also visited Beli and the Swaroop Rani Medical College Hospital to inquire about the treatment of those injured and directed the doctors to ensure best possible medical treatment for injured. Singh directed for prompt reimbursement of the value of farmers’ potatoes stored at the storage. He asked the horticulture officials to inspect all cold storage facilities and submit a comprehensive report. Strict action be taken against facilities found violating standards, he said. tnn
