Chandigarh: Four unidentified miscreants attacked a man with a sharp-edged weapon and robbed him of his mobile phone in Sector 48 on Monday morning. The victim, Shivam, a resident of Jagatpura village, Mohali, was admitted in GMCH-32 for treatment. In his complaint, Shivam said he left home for office at around 9am on Monday morning. Under the Jagatpura bridge, four persons intercepted him and tried to snatch his mobile phone. When he resisted, one of the accused allegedly slashed his legs with a knife multiple times and ran away after snatching his mobile phone. The victim informed the police with the help of passers-by.
