Varanasi: A total of 22 students from Varanasi, Prayagraj and Mirzapur divisions will go to Bengaluru on a four-day exposure visit-cum-educational tour in the last week of this month. The selected students will visit various institutions, and they may get the opportunity to visit the ISRO centre as well.Recently, a group of students from Atal Residential Schools went on an educational tour, during which they visited the ISRO centre. Assistant director of Basic Education (Varanasi division) Hemant Rao said that, in Feb, a divisional-level science model exhibition and quiz competition was organised under the Rashtriya Avishkar Abhiyan. Students who performed excellently in it were selected for the exposure visit.Two students from each district of the three divisions,were selected to go to Bengaluru on a 4-day educational tour, he said. He added that students will visit the country’s major scientific institutions as well as sites of national and historical importance.During the visit, Rao said, students will tour Bannerghatta National Park in Bengaluru, various sites of national and historical importance, and the Indian Institute of Science. The possibility of an ISRO visit is also being expressed, which will give them an opportunity to understand activities related to space science.
