Mumbai: Merck India has partnered with the NMIMS School of Pharmacy & Technology Management (SPPSPTM) to launch the CATALYST programme, an industry-academia initiative designed to prepare students for the evolving demands of the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors.
According to NMIMS, the 12-week certification programme will equip students with industry-relevant knowledge through intensive modules spanning various scientific domains.
The programme is designed to complement classroom learning with real-world industry exposure and familiarise students with global pharmaceutical practices and the competencies expected in today’s workplace, NMIMS said in a press release.
Drawing on Merck’s expertise in Global Capability Centres (GCCs), which support key global pharmaceutical functions, the programme will expose students to internationally aligned processes and help them develop the technical, regulatory, and professional capabilities required for global roles, the institution added.
NMIMS and Merck plan to conduct multiple editions of the CATALYST programme annually, with participants receiving a certification upon successful completion.
