Hyderabad: Nearly 1 kg of gold ornaments was stolen by unidentified burglars from an ornament manufacturing firm’s office at Banjara Hills Road No 10. Though a case was registered on Saturday, the theft came to light on Monday.The complaint was filed by a Gujarat-based firm that operates an office in Banjara Hills and takes orders from jewellery stores for making diamond-studded ornaments.According to police, an employee of the firm had collected 14 jewellery pieces from a local jewellery store on July 13 for diamond work. The ornaments were found intact when the locker was checked on July 17. However, the next morning, staff found the locker open and the valuables missing.During the inspection, police found a security breach through a washroom window. Investigators suspect that the burglars forced open the window to enter the office.Banjara Hills police have registered a case and launched an investigation to identify and nab the accused.
