Pune: A medical practitioner (29) died by suicide around 10am on Friday after jumping from the 24th floor of an under-construction building in Ravet.She had been working at a private hospital in Pimpri Chinchwad.Senior police inspector Hrishikesh Ghadge of the Ravet police told TOI that the incident occurred around 10am on Friday, and a security guard at the building alerted the police.“She had been staying with a friend at a flat in Ravet. We did not find any suicide note. The reason behind her death is under investigation,” Ghadge said.“No one noticed when the woman had entered the under-construction building. We reached the spot and found her umbrella on the 24th floor. We suspect that she jumped from that floor. She had covered her eyes with a piece of cloth before jumping,” Ghadge said.Ghadge said the identity of the deceased could not be established initially. The police, however, then examined CCTV footage and traced her flat in Ravet.
