Gurgaon: Four days after an FIR was registered against Nirmala Sharma, owner of International Delhi Public School at Basai Enclave, for allegedly tampering with an MCG seal placed due to illegal construction, corporation officials again sealed the school in presence of police. The corporation sealed the school on June 18, but subsequent inspections revealed the seal was damaged. A case was registered against Sharma under section 223(a) of the BNS on Thursday. According to the police, the school operated on residential property. Varun, an MCG official who lodged the complaint, stated that the school authorities received a show cause notice regarding the illegal construction on Feb 19 and were served the sealing orders on March 20. On Monday, a team led by Raj Kishan Mongia, SDO enforcement, placed a new seal on the school gate. Mongia said the property was sealed as the building had not been approved by the district town planner (DTP). Sharma told TOI that the seal was accidentally broken by cleaning staff as they were not aware of the action and thought it was a prank by the students.A report indicated the lack of required permanent affiliation from the departments concerned and recommended action on March 10. On May 7, an action report was sought within three days. Indu Boken, district education officer and DEEO, wrote for an immediate investigation following directives from higher authorities. She said the school submitted papers claiming they were authorised to run classes up to grade 10.
