Ludhiana: Continuing to crack the whip on illegal structures, the municipal corporation sealed six more unauthorised buildings under construction in different areas falling under zone ‘D’ of the civic body. Action has been initiated against the management of Raghunath hospital for an illegal construction undertaken by it and also against an illegal hotel right opposite the bus stand. Similarly, action has been taken against an illegal construction near Krishna Mandir in Model Town and another building on Chaar Khamba road in Model Town. Two workshops have also been sealed in Adarsh Nagar (Barewal). TNNMC’s zone ‘d’ building branch officials, who carried out the sealing exercise, said the drive will continue in the coming days too.The civic body has urged residents to commence any construction work only after MC approves the building plan.
