Chandigarh: Themunicipal corporation Saturday directed officials to ensure time-bound improvements at the paid parking site near Elante Mall and the Idle Truck Parking in Sector 26 during an inspection led by joint municipal commissioner Inderjeet.Accompanied by senior engineering department officers, Inderjeet reviewed the availability, safety and upkeep of the facilities and ordered proper installation and maintenance of parking signage, thermoplastic road markings, barricading, cleanliness and overall maintenance of the sites.Officials were asked to ensure dedicated Divyang parking spaces remain easily accessible and free of obstructions. The horticulture and electricity wings were directed to undertake tree pruning and maintain lighting arrangements at the locations.The civic body also instructed all officers and officials concerned to ensure regular monitoring and compliance with the directions within the stipulated time frame.
