Udupi: A mason died after getting electrocuted while at work at a construction site in Kundapur on Monday. The deceased is Shivaraj,35.In a complaint, Nagaraj, a resident of Kandavara village, stated that his younger brother Shivaraj, worked as a mason. While working at a newly constructed house belonging to Praveen Kharvi in Kundapur along with his co-workers Vasu and Narayan, the victim was lifting an iron ladder to move it to another place. The ladder accidentally slipped and came in contact with a nearby electric wire. Due to the electric shock, Shivaraj became critically unwell. He was immediately taken to the Kundapur govt hospital, where a doctor declared that Shivaraj was brought dead on arrival. A case has been registered at Kundapur police station in this regard.
