Ludhiana: Deputy commissioner Himanshu Jain paid floral tributes to Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev on their martyrdom anniversary, near Jagraon Bridge, Ludhiana. During the wreath laying ceremony at the martyrs’ statues near Jagraon Bridge, Jain emphasised that the freedom we enjoy is a result of the supreme sacrifices made by the brave revolutionaries. “We must never forget our martyrs. They laid down their lives at a very young age, and it is the duty of every citizen to work tirelessly toward national unity, integrity, and progress,” he said. Jain added that the nation remains deeply indebted to these iconic heroes for their unparalleled courage and dedication. “The life, ideals, and philosophy of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev will forever serve as a powerful source of inspiration for generations,” Jain said.Calling upon people to emulate the martyrs’ spirit, the DC urged citizens to follow in their footsteps by making meaningful contributions to society and upholding the values of patriotism and selflessness for which they made the ultimate sacrifice.Meanwhile, Punjab Roadways, Punbus and PRTC Contract Workers’ Union held a rally at the depot to pay tribute to the martyrs.
