Gurgaon: Three persons were arrested on Monday in connection with firing in the air and issuing death threats to a man over a loan dispute in Pachgaon on March 8.According to the complaint filed by Dharmender at Bilaspur police station, he had gone to Manesar on behalf of his employer, Ramesh, to recover Rs 10,000 from Deba, a tea vendor. The money was given to Deba three years ago for a period of 10 days but allegedly never returned.Dharmender stated that when he approached Deba, he was promised the payment within two days. However, during a follow-up visit, Deba claimed the payment would be made in cash by one Sandeep Gurjar, a resident of Bissar village. When Sandeep arrived at the spot, he fired in the air and threatened to kill Dharmender if he kept on asking for repayment.Sandeep also sent threatening audio messages to Dharmender after the encounter despite there being no prior dispute between the parties. Police said Dharmender filed the complaint on March 9 following which a verification was conducted. CCTV cameras in the vicinity were found non-functional. An eyewitness later corroborated the incident on March 15.Based on the complaint and eyewitness account, a case was eventually registered under sections 287 (rash or negligent acts involving fire or combustible materials that endanger human life or cause harm), 351(2) (criminal intimidation) of BNS and under relevant sections of the Arms Act.Gurjar, Deba and Puneet were arrested on Monday. “We arrested the three suspects on Monday and they were remanded in two days’ custody. They were sent to judicial custody on Wednesday. We also recovered a .32 bore country-made pistol from their possession,” an officer said.
