Kanpur: A 37-year-old man who had been undergoing treatment for tuberculosis for five years died by suicide at his house in Rajkiya Unnayan Awas Colony on GT Road in Kanpur late Thursday.Akash Yadav’s body was found by his family on Friday morning after he did not leave his room. Nawabganj police and a forensic team inspected the scene and collected evidence.His younger brother told police that Akash had become physically weak and mentally distressed because of his illness. His health had continued to deteriorate, affecting his furniture business. He had also become withdrawn and had spoken little to family members over the past few days.According to the family, Akash had dinner with his mother on Thursday night before going to sleep in his room. Other family members also retired for the night. They discovered his body when they went to check on him in the morning.
