Thiruvananthapuram: A 28-year-old man allegedly stabbed his mother-in-law and brother-in-law following a family dispute at Chowara on Monday night.Vizhinjam police said the accused Jithin had reportedly been involved in a quarrel with his wife Nabendu earlier. Around 9.30pm, he reached her house to meet her. When his wife did not come out despite repeated calls, he allegedly created a ruckus.
Hearing the commotion, his mother-in-law, Bindu, 47, came out of the house. Jithin then allegedly stabbed her on the left palm with a knife. The family then informed Bindu’s son, Navendan, about the incident. During the ensuing altercation, Jithin allegedly stabbed Navendan as well. Hearing the commotion locals and relatives gathered at the spot and allegedly assaulted Jithin. Bindu and Navendan were admitted to the ICU of medical college hospital and Jithin has also been admitted there for treatment. Police have registered a case.
