T’puram: Former Travancore Devaswom Board president and devaswom commissioner N Vasu got statutory bail in the Sabarimala gold heist case on Wednesday. The Kollam vigilance court granted him bail with conditions. Vasu got bail because SIT did not file a chargesheet within 90 days of his arrest. Vasu is third accused in the kattilapadi case. Meanwhile, the remand of accused Pankaj Bhandari, Govardhan and K S Baiju was extended by 14 days. The court granted bail to Vasu after hearing his bail plea.Vasu is the fifth accused to be released in the case. Following Unnikrishnan Potti and Murari Babu, Vasu is now out of jail. Once bail procedures are complete, Vasu will be released from prison. The bail comes with major conditions, such as not entering Pathanamthitta district, not leaving Kerala, appearing before the investigating officer and presenting the passport. TNN
