Madhepura: A 50-year-old man was shot dead allegedly over personal enmity at Behrari village under Singheshwar police station limits in Madhepura district late on Saturday night. The deceased was identified as Ram Kumar Yadav, son of Mohan Yadav and a resident of the village.According to police, Yadav was serving food at a community feast when a group of armed assailants arrived and opened fire. Yadav and another person sustained bullet injuries in the attack. The assailants fled the spot before villagers could react.The injured were rushed to JNKT Medical College and Hospital, where doctors declared Yadav brought dead. The other injured person was referred to a higher medical centre for treatment. Villagers attributed the attack to personal enmity.Police reached the spot soon after the incident and launched an investigation. No arrests had been made till Sunday evening.
