Nagpur: A 27-year-old technician was allegedly lured through a gay dating app to an isolated location, where two youths threatened him at knifepoint, assaulted him and robbed him of Rs 37,000.The incident occurred near Bahadura Phata on Oct 2. Wathoda police have arrested Antariksh Mishra (19) and Amit Patil (23), both residents of Hudkeshwar. A similar case was registered against them in the past at Mankapur police station, said sources. Investigators are checking whether the duo was involved in more such incidents.The complainant, hailing from Mohadi in Bhandara district, works at a private hospital and lives in Nagpur. Police said he came in contact with the accused on a gay dating app.The accused allegedly called the complainant to Bahadura Phata and took him to an isolated location on their bike. After reaching the spot, they threatened the complainant at knifepoint, snatched his mobile phone and forced him to transfer Rs 5,000 online.The accused then allegedly took the technician to an ATM kiosk where they used his card to withdraw Rs 30,000 in three transactions. They also allegedly took away an old mobile phone worth Rs 2,000 from him. After the assault, the accused left the complainant at the spot before fleeing. He later lodged a complaint at Wathoda police station.Police tracked down the suspects after examining CCTV footage from the area.
