Daltonganj: A 28-year-old man, who was out on bail in a murder case in 2025, was found dead six days after he went missing on Oct 20 in Latehar district, police said on Wednesday.Deceased Abhishek Ekka’s decomposed body was recovered from a drain about 200 metres from his house under Mahuadnr police station limits on Oct 26. Due to advanced decomposition, the body was sent to Rims, Ranchi, for post-mortem after examination could not be conducted at Latehar Sadar Hospital.Police said Ekka’s sister, Neha Ekka, lodged a missing complaint on Oct 24, four days after his disappearance. SDPO Puja Kumari said preliminary investigation suggests an accidental death and no evidence of foul play has emerged so far.
