Kanpur: A 47-year-old man was found hanging from a neem tree under suspicious circumstances in Mahua Gaon village under Maharajpur police station limits in Kanpur Nagar late Sunday, police said.The deceased was identified as Ram Shankar.His son, Naresh, informed police that his father had a dispute with a neighbour on Saturday and alleged that it was a case of murder. He demanded a thorough investigation into the matter.Police took the body into custody and sent it for postmortem examination.Maharajpur police station in charge Janardan Singh said police were investigating all angles of the case.“Further action will be taken based on the family’s complaint, the postmortem report, evidence collected from the scene and facts that emerge during the investigation,” he said.
