Jaipur: A 46-year-old man was found dead in a blood-soaked condition inside a govt nursery in Malviya Nagar Monday morning, with the veins of both his hands slit and a cut injury on his neck. A knife believed to have been used in the incident was found near the body.Police suspect it to be a case of suicide but are probing other possible angles.The deceased has been identified as Surendra Kumar Meena (46), a resident of Model Town-A in Malviya Nagar. According to police, some people visiting the nursery alerted them about the body.Malviya Nagar SHO Gaurav Pradhan said Surendra’s body was found inside the govt nursery around 7am on Monday.“Investigation so far suggests that Surendra had been undergoing treatment for a mental health condition for around six months. Prima facie, it appears to be a case of suicide, but we are examining all possible angles,” he said.According to the police, Surendra had left his home without informing his family around 6.45pm Sunday and did not return. His family searched for him through the night but could not trace him.Investigators said the nursery had been closed after Sunday evening and Surendra is suspected to have entered the premises by scaling its boundary wall. Police suspect that he may have brought the knife from home and used it to slit the veins of both his hands. He also sustained a cut injury to his neck. “No signs of a physical altercation or struggle were found at the spot,” an officer said.
