Kanpur: A 30-year-old man was found dead under suspicious circumstances at his rented house in Chakeri police station area of Kanpur on Friday morning, with wound marks on his neck.The deceased identified as Ashish Sharma, a native of Hamirpur district, had been living alone at PAC Turn for the past one year. His wife Aarti was living at her maternal house with their three children.According to Aarti, she last spoke to her husband on the evening of April 1, when he sounded to be intoxicated. The next morning, his phone was switched off. Concerned, she asked a neighbour Durgesh, to check on him. Durgesh reportedly found the room locked from the outside and upon entering, found him dead on the bed with wound marks on his neck.The wife has alleged foul play and accused the landlord of murder, citing financial dispute. SHO Ajay Prakash Mishra said that police have launched an investigation into the incident and further action will be taken based on the postmortem findings and complaint lodged by the family.
