New Delhi: A 62-year-old man fell ill inside the Pul Prahladpur police station minutes after getting into a quarrel with his brother on Monday and then died in hospital. Police said the two sides of the same family had a long-standing property dispute. Five PCR calls went to the police station around 2.57 pm on Monday regarding a quarrel in Mittal Colony. The two quarrelling groups were separated and brought to the police station in different vehicles. Shamsher Singh, one of the brothers, reached the police station at 3.30 pm. While he was there, he became agitated and started shouting at his brother and nephews. Ten minutes later, he appeared unwell and in some discomfort. He lay down. Police noticed the signs of medical distress and moved him to the AIIMS Trauma Centre, where he died. “Both parties have previously filed cases against each other and made PCR calls relating to the property dispute,” DCP (southeast) Hemant Tiwari said. The senior police officer added that Shamsher had hypertension and coronary artery disease. His son Rahul filed a complaint on Tuesday against Shamsher’s brother Arjun Singh and his associates. The case has been registered under sections 105 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) and 3 (5) (common intention) of BNS.Meanwhile, the body of a 42-year-old man was found inside a car parked at a mall in Delhi’s Mayur Vihar on Tuesday. The deceased was identified as Narendra, a resident of Noida. Police said they received information at around 5.55 pm on Feb 23 about an unconscious person inside a vehicle parked at Star City Mall. A senior police officer said that during the preliminary inspection, no visible external injury marks were found on the body.
