Prayagraj: A 42-year-old woman identified as Neha Prakash, a resident of Patilputra was arrested by Cantt police on Monday on the charges of abetment of suicide.Rambahadur Mahto, a resident of Suhrad Nagar, Badha, Begusarai, Bihar had informed the Cantt police that his 45-year-old son Krishna Kumar was repeatedly harassed by his wife Neha and her family members through phone calls and WhatsApp video/voice calls and consequently his son committed suicide.Police said that Krishna Kumar, who was posted in a government department in Prayagraj, had committed suicide about two months back. Based on the complaint of the father, an FIR under section 108 of the BNS was registered at Cantt local police station against the wife, and a police team was constituted to arrest the accused. The police team managed to arrest the accused woman from Mysore.Meanwhile, Cantt police have also arrested a purse snatcher identified as Suraj Chaurasia (24), a resident of Dhoomanganj near Tarbagh road. Police said that accused had snatched the purse of one Shikha Rastogi on July 4 near Cantt area and following the incident, an FIR under relevant section was registered. Police have also recovered one mobile and Rs 730 cash from his possession.
