Kanpur: A 38-year-old man died after his motorcycle was hit by a speeding unidentified vehicle in Kalyanpur late Saturday.The deceased was identified as Rajeev Ranjan, a resident of Pank Bahadur Nagar in Panki.According to family members, Ranjan worked in Mumbai and had come to Kanpur two days ago to meet his family. He is survived by his wife and minor daughter.On Saturday, he left for some work in Awas Vikas-3, Kalyanpur, at around 10 pm. While returning home around midnight, a speeding vehicle allegedly rammed into his motorcycle, leaving him severely injured.He was rushed to a nearby hospital in a critical condition, where doctors declared him dead.Kalyanpur Inspector Keshav Kumar Tiwari said the driver fled the scene with the vehicle after the accident. He added that efforts were underway to identify the vehicle and its driver by examining footage from nearby CCTV cameras.
