Ara: A 55-year-old man died after a speeding vehicle hit his motorcycle on the Ara-Buxar National Highway (NH-922) near Bilauti-Saraiya village under Shahpur police station area in Bhojpur district on Friday afternoon.The deceased was identified as Munna Dubey, a resident of Ojha Baraon village under Krishnabrahm police station area in Buxar district. He worked at a fertiliser shop in Ara.According to family members, Dubey was returning to Ara after collecting payments from shops and customers when a speeding pickup trailer allegedly hit his motorcycle from behind near Bilauti village, killing him on the spot.Shahpur SHO Santosh Kumar Singh said police have launched an investigation to identify and trace the driver of the vehicle involved in the accident.The victim’s family was informed, and the body was sent to Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem. Further details are being ascertained, the SHO added.
