Bhubaneswar: A 49-year-old man died Saturday afternoon after mysteriously falling from the busy Rasulgarh flyover from a height of about 40 ft. He was identified as Jagadananda Senapati of Dumduma. The man’s motorcycle was found on the flyover. Eyewitnesses recount the sound of a loud thud following which they rushed to the spot to find Senapati’s motionless body.They immediately informed the PCR van following which a team of Saheed Nagar police arrived at the spot and rushed Senapati to Capital Hospital in a critical condition where the doctors declared him brought dead. “We received a call at around 2:30 pm and went to the spot. The man sustained injuries in the head and other parts of the body after the fall. We took him to the hospital immediately, but unfortunately, he died,” police said.Police have registered a case and launched an investigation to ascertain the reason behind the incident. “It is believed to be a case of road accident, but a perfectly stationary bike has raised doubts. We are examining the circumstances,” police added.
