Gurgaon: A 31-year-old man found Rs 70,000 had been withdrawn from his bank account after two or three men watched him key in his ATM PIN and swapped his debit card at an ATM in Baskushla village, IMT Manesar.Ashish, a moulding operator from Baskushla village, told police he was withdrawing cash with his SBI debit card around 9 pm on Tuesday, when he noticed the men inside the ATM. One of them was standing behind him.The men then struck up a conversation with him and he claimed they swapped his card with another similar SBI card.Ashish said his SIM card was not in his phone at the time and couldn’t receive any transaction alerts. He inserted the SIM the next day and discovered that withdrawals had been made from his account.He obtained his account statement from the SBI branch in Sector 2, IMT Manesar, on Aug 19 and found that Rs 70,000 had been withdrawn.He has handed over to police the card left with him by the accused. Police registered a case for theft, cheating and acts done by multiple persons under BNS on Aug 19.
