Mangaluru: A case has been registered against an autorickshaw driver for allegedly assaulting staff and causing damage to property at a gas agency in Panemangalore village.According to the complaint filed by Kunal Bhuhnia,27, who works as a manager at a gas agency at Melkar Bogodi in Bantwal, the incident occurred on Friday. The accused, identified as Afreez,28, a resident of Sajipamooda, Bantwal, arrived at the agency driving an autorickshaw. He allegedly entered the premises, verbally abused office staff member Ashwin and physically assaulted him. The accused then stepped outside and damaged property belonging to the gas agency, causing a loss estimated at Rs 48,000. Based on the complaint, a case has been registered at Bantwal Town police station, and an investigation is under way.
