Varanasi: A 25-year-old man was beaten to death in Siyarahan village under the Kotwali police station area in Bhadohi district on Wednesday night. In Chandauli, a youth was shot dead by some miscreants in Parsadiha Jamalpur village under the Kandwa police station area on Thursday afternoon.Vishal Saroj, from Barmohani village, lived in Mumbai to earn a livelihood and came home to Siyarahan village on Holi leave a week ago. On Wednesday afternoon, he left home to play Holi but did not return by evening. Despite extensive search, his whereabouts could not be traced. On Thursday morning, his body was found in a field near jal nigam water tank in Siyarahan. Personnel from two police stations, a forensic team and a dog squad team reached the spot. Police sent the body for post-mortem.Bhadohi SP Abhimanyu Mangalik said initial investigation showed that on Wednesday, Vishal went to a liquor shop where he had a scuffle with the shopkeeper. Vishal was attacked on the head with a stick by the shopkeeper’s brother and died due to excessive bleeding. Two persons accused in the case have been arrested so far.In Chandauli, Vishal Singh, a 28-year-old farmer, was shot dead while he was sleeping at his farmhouse in Parsadiha Jamalpur village under Kandwa police station area on Thursday afternoon. Before fleeing, the shooters took away the CCTV and DVR.During investigation, it came to light that after the death of his father two years ago, Vishal and his younger brother, Vivek, had started farming. On Thursday afternoon, Vishal was sleeping at his farmhouse when three miscreants raided the place and opened fire at him. Hearing the sound of gunshots, neighbours arrived and rushed him to the hospital, where he died during treatment.
