Madhubani: To accelerate industrial development and support local entrepreneurs, a seminar was organised on Monday at the Pandaul Industrial Area under the directives of district magistrate Anand Sharma. The event brought together industry stakeholders to discuss opportunities, address challenges, and highlight government incentives aimed at fostering investment and job creation in the region.Hosted at the industrial estate in Pandaul — a growing hub managed by the Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA) — the seminar saw active participation from entrepreneurs operating units in the area. Key officials present included the Project Manager of the District Industries Centre (DIC), Madhubani; the deputy general manager of BIADA, Darbhanga; and the regional manager of the Pandaul Industrial Area.The primary objective was to promote industrial activities, hear entrepreneurs’ concerns, and provide detailed insights into Bihar’s industrial promotion schemes. Special emphasis was placed on the Bihar Industrial Investment Promotion Policy, 2016 (along with its amendments and extensions), and the newly introduced Bihar Industrial Investment Promotion Package 2025, valid till March 31, 2026.The DIC project manager made an in-depth presentation on the key provisions of these policies, highlighting incentives such as reimbursement of stamp duty and land conversion fees, interest subvention on term loans (up to 10–12% or actual, whichever is lower, with enhanced benefits for priority sectors and SC/ST/women entrepreneurs), substantial GST and electricity duty reimbursements (up to 100% in many cases), capital investment subsidies, and other support measures.
