Ara: In a special drive against drug trafficking in the Bhojpur district, police on Monday arrested a man and his wife in Ara and seized more than 100 grams of heroin worth over Rs50 lakh from their possession.According to Devraj Rai, SHO of the Ara Town police station, Golu Paswan, son of Ramswaroop Paswan and a resident of the Gausganj locality under the Town police station area, was arrested along with his wife when both were found smuggling heroin.“The arrested drug peddlers are being interrogated to trace their supply chain and to determine whether they are linked to any organised gang of drug traffickers. The exact name of the arrested woman has not yet been ascertained. Further investigation will reveal more details,” the SHO added.The police have invoked the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act against the arrested individuals, and a named FIR has been registered at the Ara Town police station.
